Full version - restored copy by Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia-Cineteca Nazionale
Remembering the late Monica Vitti, the great actress - a symbol of Italian cinema - we present the restored version of the comedy-musical Stardust, directed and also played by Alberto Sordi in 1973. The “muse of incommunicability” was becoming the only woman to be bracketed (also in salary terms) with the Italian male comic actors of the 70’s. She often partnered Alberto Sordi, matching his over-the-top performances. “The Cineteca Nazionale took hold of the original film elements, found more, and restored the integral version of the film […] including 80 metres of footage from an interpositive.” (Alberto Anile)
