“The idea came to me after listening to the song Vivere nel tuo naso (Living in your nose) by MusicaPerBambini, with whom I have been collaborating for some time now. At first, I drew a bunch of illustrations, but soon realized it was not the right medium. So I switched to stop-motion animation. The papercut technique descended partly from illustration. It was like a game, and my intention was to recreate the lively, multi-coloured world depicted by the band.”
