Quando vedrete il mio caro amore was a very successful song sung by Donatella Moretti in 1963; its ideal heroine was a teenager, and the record’s cover actually featured Valeria Ciangottini, the very young actress who appears in the ending of La Dolce Vita. In the song’s remake, Canio Loguercio retained its expressive force and evocative power, whereas the video narrative is provided by pictures taken from Cecilia Mangini’s documentary Essere donne. The lyrics of the 1963 song focused almost exclusively on love and not work; therefore the visual counterpart intends to foreshadow the heroine becoming aware of social and political aspects of life. The documentary was provided by the Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico as homage to the first Italian female documentary film-maker who died last January.
